Day 6 of 30 Titles in December Guilty by Association

 Guilty by Association
Guilty by Association was published in January 2012 by Lift E'very Voice/Moody Publishers. The Guilty series had become the Jamieson Legacy, and Guilty by Association was Book I in the spin off series. The story idea came while I was perusing the 1860 Mississippi Morbidity Book. Slaves who didn't have a surname at the time of their deaths, either as a freed black or that of the slaveholder, were buried with their first names followed  by the word "negro".  I created Kidd Jamieson who despised his last name, because he didn't have a father in the home and thus, didn't want to carry the Jamieson surname. It's a story that is relevant today with so many young boys, being reared by single mothers who may or may not carry their father's name. Despite his rough exterior, Kidd falls hard for Miss Eva Savoy who knows how to take him down with her sass and class. Meet one of the bad boys of Boston. Kidd soon learns it's not the name who makes the man, but the man who makes his own name. Don't forget A NOELLE FOR NATHAN is my current title.
