After the success of my first novella,
Her Dress, I decided to create a novella series based on a theme rather than a cast of ongoing characters. In February 2012,
Love at Work was the first novella released in Making Love Work, an anthology about people finding love against the odds. For ten years, I worked in a busy television newsroom. When it came to breaking news, our reporters were like cats chasing dogs--not the other way around. Haven't you seen the video of dogs terrorized of cats? LOL. In a news station, it was the norm for everybody to know everybody's business, whether they wanted to share it or not, so I couldn't resist planting an undercover romance in their midst.
